How to Use CVLogger®
Welcome! Here’s a quick guide to help you build a polished resume that showcases your unique background and skills.
Step 1: Register an Account
Start by creating an account. Just click on Register, enter your name, email, and a secure password, and submit. That’s it—your account is ready!
Step 2: Log In and Update Your Profile
Start by completing profile:
- Navigate to the Profile section from your dashboard.
- Enter your personal details such as name, contact information, and a Professional summary.
- Enter First Name (Fname), Middle Name (Mname and it is optional), and Lname (Last Name).
- Enter phone number.
- If you are a student, change Is student field to yes.
- If you have published articles OR if you are a scientist, change Is scientist to yes.
- Click Save to update your profile information.
Step 3: Add Awards
Highlight any awards you’ve received:
- Go to the Awards section and press + sign in Green.
- Click Add New Award and provide details like award name, date, and description.
- All date is in YYYY-MM-DD format.
- For each item, you have an option to add in final resume or exclude it.
- Click Save to add each award.
Step 4: Add Your Education
Go to the Education section and enter your school, degree, major, and graduation dates.
- Enter College name, Degree obtained, and Graduation year
- For each item, you have an option to add in final resume or exclude it.
Step 5: List Your Coursework
If in profile section, you have selected "Is student" to yes, this form will be available. If you’ve taken relevant courses, list them in Coursework. Mention any specific classes that align with the skills or industry you're targeting.
Step 6: Add Keywords
In today’s job market, keywords are crucial! Add important Keywords related to your field or desired role. This helps ensure your resume aligns with what recruiters and ATS (Applicant Tracking Systems) look for.
Step 7: Add Work Experience
Head over to Work Experience and input details about your past positions. Include job titles, company names, dates, and a short description of your responsibilities and achievements.
Step 8: Include Published Papers
This will only show to users who have selected "Is scientist" to yes in profile section. In the Published Papers section, add any academic papers or articles you’ve published. This could make you stand out if you’re aiming for a research-focused role. This is in beta phase and will soon be added in generated resume.
Step 9: Add Professional Certificates and Affiliations.
List them in the Professional Certificates section. Mention the certificate name.
Step 10: Highlight Skills
Next, list your key skills in the Skills section. These could be technical skills, soft skills, or anything relevant to the roles you’re interested in.
Step 11: Preview Your Resume using different templates.
Once everything is filled in, go to Preview Resume. Select a template, and you’ll have a professional resume ready to download and share.
Step 12: Download Your Resume
Now download youe resume , preview the downloaded resume and make final adjustment and share with recruiter and job search sites.
